News on Phoenix Road

During March 2023 we consulted on changes proposed for the Phoenix Road area.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views. We had 79 responses and following the consultation, we have made the decision to implement the proposed trial and permanent changes.

We are making some changes to the proposed designs in response to information that you shared during the consultation.

The changes to traffic along Phoenix Road will be implemented later this year. These changes will enable work to begin on building the wider pavements and creating rain gardens and new green spaces.

Updates on the designs for the new rain gardens and the trial 'Phoenix Park' will be posted here over the coming months.
